​Communities in the region faced overlapping social, economic, and security challenges, including persistent stigma toward returnees, limited access to official documentation and public services, difficult living conditions, and the continuing impact of extremist narratives. These conditions deepened mistrust, strained community relations, and weakened prospects for stability and social cohesion.

The animated series drew on the voices, experiences, hopes, and testimonies of women and children who had lived in Al-Hol camp and later returned to their communities. Through human-centered storytelling, the videos aimed to amplify these perspectives, foster empathy, reduce prejudice, and support efforts toward constructive dialogue and reintegration.
